Working with a neutral gray palette to paint is quite important since it allows us to see the real tone of the color, the white or transparent palettes change our appreciation of the tone, for example the white palettes are too bright and the tones that are clear we normally appreciate it darker than it really is, and this happens because the color is competing with the white background and on the transparent palettes we would have a visual contamination of the context colors depending on where we place the palette. For that reason working with a gray palette is highly recommended, I work with a palette like this for more than 10 years. The pallet measures 30 x 45 cm which allows plenty of space to work freely.
