Masters Choice is interesting hair with distinctive markings and a firm semi-rigid line, made from a mix of male and female badger hair.

Hair is responsive, yet firm, allowing tonal values and highlights to be added. They are tough.

The fan brush is great and is made with a special splint that spreads the hairs to form a fan shape. They are excellent for effects such as grasses, skins and most of the time, to mix with Oils.

Masters Choice work well with predominantly oils, although acrylic painters also prefer their "fluffy" nature.

A favorite for portrait painters, landscapes, and Alla Prima works.
